Dr. Sabbagh's level of experience and education is impressive, having attended the most respected institutions for all her training and education, as well as an aggressive, highly respected 6-year residency at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Sabbagh earned her Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) in chemistry from St. Joseph's College in Brooklyn, New York and graduated Magna Cum Laude. After graduation, Dr. Sabbagh was accepted to the City University of New York Postgraduate program in Biochemistry.

Dr. Sabbagh received a research and teaching grant at CUNY and completed a Masters degree (MA) from City College of New York in Biochemistry. During this time she served as an adjunct professor in the Department of Biochemistry lecturing at the graduate and undergraduate level at Brooklyn and City College of CUNY.

During her program at City College she conducted research in enzymology and lipid biochemistry. Her Masters program culminated with a publication in the prestigious Journal of Biological Chemistry. Dr. Sabbagh's work has been a stepping stone for modern day cholesterol medications. In fact, her research is still referenced today as the pharmaceutical industry produces variations of statins for lipid management.

Emily M. Sabbagh, M.D., D.D.S. a Double Degree Oral Surgeon

Dr. Emily M. Sabbagh received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery in New York. During her training at Columbia University she served as an extern at the prestigious Royal Infirmary at Edinburgh Scotland Department of Head and Neck Reconstructive Surgery where she assisted on advanced reconstructive cases. Returning to New York she served a second externship at Harlem Hospital Department or Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in New York. This externship involved intense facial trauma surgery. Upon graduation for dental school at Columbia University, she was immediately accepted into the highly competitive six year residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. This was an intense six year program which included a Doctor of Medicine Degree (MD) from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a General Surgery internship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Anesthesia residency training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Sabbagh has been practicing oral and maxillofacial surgery since 1993. Her areas of expertise include the use of osseointegrated implants in combination with bone grafting and the full range of dentoalveolar surgery and gum grafting.

Dr. Sabbagh eagerly fulfills her established role as a leader in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She is a Member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Sabbagh is affiliated with several professional organizations, among them The American Dental Association and The National Society of Cosmetic Physicians. Dr. Emily M. Sabbagh is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry. She has been invited to lecture for the AGD and taught an intensive Oral Surgery review to the Washington Chapter of the Academy of General Dentistry as well as the Washington State Society of Prosthodontics.

Emily M. Sabbagh M.D., D.D.S. maintains medical licenses in the states of Washington, New York, and California and Dental licenses in the states of Washington and Arizona. Maintaining medical and dental licenses requires several hours of continuing dental and medical education Dr. Sabbagh has far exceeded each state requirement for continuing education as she is constantly attending primary care reviews, anesthesia seminars and implant and reconstructive symposiums across the country. Having completed both dental and medical school, Dr. Sabbagh feels it is a privilege and she holds education in high regard.
